Tamil Rights in Sri Lanka

More Info
The Tamil community in Sri Lanka, who make up 18% of the country's population, is requesting the government to guarantee equality for Tamils under the law and for Tamils to be stakeholders in the island’s democracy. After more than a quarter century of civil war between government forces and Tamil separatists, the Tamil community of Sri Lanka demands an end to discriminatory policies against them and for the government to help develop war-ravaged communities that were a result of this violence.
