Justice for Shahzeb Khan
More Info
On December 25, 2012, 20-year-old Shahzeb Khan was shot dead in Pakistan following an argument with Nawab Siraj Talpur, the "master" of a servent responsible for teasing Shahzeb's sister. And though, Shahzeb's father - also a police man - had seemingly resolved conflict before night's end, the 20-year-old was injured and killed by Talpur, a friend, and his armed guards after firing shots into Shahzeb’s car.
Those complicit in the shooting quickly escaped to Sukkar and the police has yet to put forth a substantial effort to catch the murderers. Shahzeb's father has pointed out that his son's case is only indicative of how easy it is for those with political backgrounds or power to murder and get away with it. He said: “I had settled the dispute. Then why was my son killed like this. This is the brutal reign of the feudals. They don’t spare anyone.”
Peaceful protests are being organized across the country for December 30,2012 to demand justice for Shahzeb Khan.
