In June, thousands of people have been filling the streets of Japan in protest against the government's decision to restart its nuclear power program, despite last year's disaster when a 9.0 earthquake destroyed the Fukushima power plant, contaminating miles of land with harmful radiation. The protests have received little coverage as the government continues to dismiss the public's reaction to nuclear power.
