Sudan Protests
In late June, students led a series of protests against Sudan's Omar Bashir. Rallies in the capital city of Khartoum have mainly been defined by severe anger against Sudan's austerity program that has caused prices of basic goods to soar, however, as the protests continue many are now calling for the toppling of the entire military regime. Protesters have been met with tear gas and batons by the police. More
