Social Protests in Oman
Following successful revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt, protesters in Oman came out to the streets on February 26. The protests demand an end to corruption, higher wages, changes in the government and jobs for unemployed youth. The young protesters were met with tear gas and rubber-coated bullets, leaving six of them dead.
