Renewed Protests in Tunisia
After the Tunisian government postponed elections from this month to October in the budding new democracy, tensions between the multitude of political parties, the government, and Tunisian citizens has begun to build. Protesters are anxious about the lagging economy and the slow-moving democratic reforms. A protest on 17 July turned violent when anti-government protesters lit tires and threw rocks, and a 14 year old boy was tragically killed by the police. More
