Sweden is a very beautiful country! Beautiful nature, beautiful people and beautiful democracy. But hey! Something must be wrong here, is it really possible that Sweden deports young people who have come here as children, seeking asylum, and as soon as they turn 18 they are being thrown out of the country? Even if they’ve been here for years and years, participated in the community, gone to school, integrated and made Sweden even more beautiful? This is just one example, what happened to Khaled Maana. This initiavite was trigged by Khaled Maanas situation, but he is not the only one experiencing this. In Sweden we have seen this over and over again. But we have also seen that people acts and reacts, taking many amazing initiatives every time it happens to support the young refugee, creating opinion and trying to make a change in the system. Too often all these beautiful, powerful and important efforts doesn’t reach outside the local community, local media and so forth. So even if they are well needed and a super important support to the young refugee, and also manages to raise awareness locally, we are still struggling with these poor and ugly asylum laws. Keep Sweden Beautiful belives that if we collaborate not only on a local, but also on a national and international level we can all help out and gather information, spread word and raise awarness of the cause in a way that can help to make change happen.
