Demands for Reform in Jordan

More Info
Inspired by the stories of Tunisia and Egypt, Jordanian protesters have pushed for political change within their own country. Since late January, Jordanians have been protesting high unemployment, regressive tax rates, and an unrepresentative government. Although there have been no calls for the downfall of the regime, Jordanians did successfully get King Abdullah to replace Prime Minister Samer Rifai. Protests are intermittent yet ongoing.
